ISCA in Beirut International Book Fair

Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy has participated in the 62nd International Book Fair in Beirut, Lebanon, which has been held from December 6 to 17, 2018.

According to International Office of ISCA, the book fair which is held in Seaside Arena area, located in city center, is organized by the Arab Cultural Club and with the cooperation of the Publishers Union in Lebanon. Of 235 booths in the book fair, 170 booths is dedicated to Arabic publications and 65 is allocated to foreign publishing centers, and ISCA is also present with a collection of Arabic books published in the academy.

Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Arab-speaking countries, Iran, Ukraine, Turkey and Cyprus are the foreign countries participating in the exhibition and Iranian publishers include ISCA, Al-Mustafa University, the Encyclopedia of the Islamic World, the Holy Defense and Surah Mehr.

Fadi Tamim, head of the Lebanese Cultural Association said in the opening ceremony that the 62nd International Book Fair in Beirut focuses on Arabic thought and literature and cultural challenges and several conferences will take place this year on the status of publications, books and libraries, social and human reality in Palestine and Arab world.

Fouad Siniora representing Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri as the highest official, opened the exhibition.

Mr. Mohammad Mehdi Shariatmadari, Cultural attaché of Iran, attended the ceremony.

It is worth noting that, at the time of Cultural attaché of Iran’s arrival, Saudi Arabia Ambassador left the ceremony.
