BELLATOR NEWCASTLE OPENING BETTING ODDS FOR FEBRUARY 9TH

And here are my first ideas on the Bellator Newcastle introductory lines:
Like many Bellator cards, this one is full of big favorites. The majority of them need to win, including Pitbull in the main event against Scope. The big different here is clearly the experience and level of competition faced. Pitbull has been among the best lightweights in Bellator for years (and most likely one of the most underrated lightweights from the game ) while Scope is a Bellator newcomer who has not fought anyone of note, save to get a split decision win over former UFC fighter Mickel Lebout in his last bout. Scope has actually been involved in the game as a teenager, but has never really made it big, while Pitbull is still one of the best lightweights in Bellator. I anticipate Pitbull to get his hand raised and he will be a favorite parlay bit amongst bettors.
I’m not totally sold on Chalmers and that I wouldn’t be shocked when Browning pulled off another upset. Chalmers has four first-round endings, however, the former reality TV star in England has been getting easy matchups from the matchmakers. Browning was not supposed to be aggressive against Baby Slice in his Bellator introduction, but he ended up completing Kevin Ferguson Jr. by knockout in one of the greatest upsets of 2018 in MMA. I believe Browning is probably a bit better than most people believe he is, and I would not be surprised at all if he’s the upset here. So far as I’m concerned, this can be a dog-or-pass situation.
Brazier is creating his Bellator with a whole lot of hype as an former BAMMA champion. He’s won his last nine fights and hasn’t tasted defeat since a 2015 knockout loss which was his sole livelihood defeat. Bungard has a decent amount of experience on the European regional circuit and is a decent gatekeeper kind of fighter, but this is obviously Bellator looking to match up Brazier with a man who he can beat in his promotional introduction. Like Pitbull, I anticipate Brazier to acquire this battle handily and expect him to become a favorite parlay piece too.
Much like Pitbull and Brazier, Edwards looks like he’ll be a favorite chalk piece too. The brother of this UFC’s Leon is just 5-0 and he is only 25, meaning he’s a bright MMA career ahead of him. Chadwick is a veteran of 40 fights and has fought a lot of England’s top boxers, but he has been finished nine times, including four knockout losses, and this looks like another struggle where the heavy favorite needs to glow. I’d definitely keep your eye out to the Edwards within the space props, but he is another man to consider placing to a Bellator chalk parlay.
