NASCAR at Richmond: Odds, key stats, bets to consider for second playoff race

Brad Keselowski made his third successive win Sunday at the opening playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but a fourth consecutive win seems unlikely as NASCAR heads to Richmond’s brief track for Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400.

Richmond is a flat, 3/4-mile track that’s most like New Hampshire’s and Phoenix’s flat tracks. Drivers who’ve had success at these tracks have been contenders at Richmond.

NASCAR visited with Phoenix and New Hampshire once each earlier. From the summer, Kevin Harvick took the checkers, but Kyle Busch led the most laps. Harvick also won at New Hampshire, but it was Kurt Busch leading the most laps.

Keselowski completed 15th and 32nd in Phoenix and New Hampshire this year, but he’s finished 11th or better in the last six races at Richmond. A top-10 seems likely for the No. 2 team, but there are drivers more fit for its short-track racing on Saturday.
