A fighter coming from a layoff may have improved in their time away, as it turns out. Who knew? Amanda Ribas’ wrestling demonstrated far, much better than it had been before her UFC signing, allowing her to bring her Brazilian jiu-jitsu to bear and completely dominate Emily Whitmire. This undid Jared Gordon’s good work against Dan Moret, sadly, but at least it’s just a slight loss.

Thoughts: Well, there is a good deal of statistical mismatches to sift through, and they aren’t particularly safe mismatches to bet . Gilbert Melendez hasn’t had a good performance in a long time, but can conquer Arnold Allen if he receives his wrestling proceeding. Randa Markos has a custom of overachieving. Alejandro Perez has preternatural fortune with all the judges. Jack Marshman has a hell of a punch. Chance Rencountre has a similar style to someone who’s beaten Ismail Naurdiev.
Having said all of that, Julia Avila could be the only reasonable investment. “The Raging Panda” is a complete monster going up against a late-notice opponent who’s struggled to make weight before. I think Avila can make some noise at 135 lbs and should demonstrate that with a notable victory.
